After Care

How to keep your precious jewelry looking its best for years to come. Let's talk metals and maintenance!

925 Sterling Silver
This beauty is known for its durability and timeless appeal. It's sturdy enough to withstand everyday wear and tear, but like any good thing, it needs a little TLC. To keep your sterling silver shining bright, simply polish it with a soft cloth regularly to remove any tarnish that may develop over time. Use a small amount of natural soap, warm water & a soft toothbrush to clean your silver jewellery.

9ct Solid Gold:
Ah, solid gold—classic, elegant, and oh-so-durable. This precious metal can handle whatever life throws its way, but a little care goes a long way. To maintain its luster, gently clean your gold jewelry with warm, soapy water and a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive materials, and your gold will sparkle for years to come.

Vermeil Gold:
Gold plated jewellery and Vermeil are different. Gold plated jewellery may be flash coated (under 1 micron of gold) on top of any base metal (brass, bronze, silver ect) the base metal is what may cause your skin to turn green. Vermeil is made by layering a thick coat (2.5 micron) of gold over sterling silver. The plating lasts longer as it is much thicker, and sterling silver is a durable base metal which will not cause green skin. To keep your vermeil gold looking fabulous, avoid exposing it to water, harsh chemicals, and abrasive surfaces. Instead, gently wipe it clean with a soft cloth after each wear to remove any dirt or oils.

Regardless of the metal, here are some general care tips to help your jewelry last a lifetime:

  1. Store your jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity.
  2. Avoid wearing your jewelry while swimming, showering, or engaging in strenuous activities.
  3. Remove your jewelry before applying lotions, perfumes, or hair products to prevent buildup and tarnishing.
  4. Give your jewelry a break from time to time—rotate pieces to prevent excessive wear and tear.
